Help Te Atamira build an inclusive space for community connection and creativity

Here at Te Atamira, Queenstown's local arts and culture centre, we are passionate about providing fit-for-purpose spaces for people of all ages to experience creativity. So far we have creative and accessible indoor spaces that enable connection for our community.

We live in a place of breathtaking beauty - our community loves the outdoors, and we want to create a space in nature for our talented local creatives. Due to Queenstown’s rapid growth, there is a lack of gathering spaces for the community which we see in older, more established towns and cities in New Zealand.

Now, we have the opportunity to reimagine the greenspace, currently an unkept paddock, immediately outside Te Atamira. Our goal is to create a space that includes a half basketball court, an artful play area with swings, a skate ramp, an outdoor gathering space for performances, a celestial compass to share stories, a learn-to-ride space and a seating area with shade sails.

Your donation will help us to create an engaging and thoughtful space that reflects the identity of our community and encourages creativity to flourish. This space will be for everyone, from workers, to caregivers, to those wanting to enjoy the sunshine in their neighbourhood.
