Team Protecta (Bangers to Bluff 2018)

Bangers to Bluff will be a convoy of up to 15 “old banger” cars driving Auckland to Bluff over 12 days, using the roads less travelled. The cars will all be auctioned off for the charities at the end of the rally and funds go to Multiple Sclerosis New Zealand and Hopeworks Foundation. Our thanks go to the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay for organising this fundraiser on behalf of the charities.

Our "banger" car has to cover around 2,700kms over the 12 day journey, and along the way we’ll be participating in activities to help raise funds and awareness. When we last did this back in 2016, our team managed to raise over $10,000 for the charities, and this year we want to out-do that total!

We have the car already, it’s a 1996 Ford Fairmont station wagon and we’ll be decking her out with flags, signage and speakers/sirens to help get attention for these two great charities.
