Participating in FIT TO FIGHT CHALLENGE (September 2021)
Auckland
Wassup!! Over the next 8 weeks, ya girl will be taking part in Boxing Alley's 'Fit to Fight' challenge, training like a boxer and raising funds for Lifeline. Then I’ll be putting everything to the test in a final body-sparring event. #hisshusshooss
The reason I’ve chosen Lifeline is because they’ve been such a necessary organisation and resource for not only myself but for those around me. Lifeline provides 24/7 confidential support from qualified counsellors and trained volunteers to anyone in Aotearoa.
After being diagnosed with depression last year and having to seek profession help and self help (and not knowing where to start), lifeline was the best resource. I was pointed in the right direction to getting said help, and reassured my negative inner monologue could be changed if I was willing to put in the work. I’m raising money for them so that I can hopefully return some of the favour they lent me, as well as afford more people in NZ the same access to that support.
Boxing has been a God send for my mental health so it feels like this Fit to Fight challenge and raising money for this charity go hand in hand with each other. It would mean so much if y’all could get amongst the journey and help donate to such an amazing organisation!
Promise I’ll make y’all proud 🙌🏽😤
