    All done! Well we completed our first Tour of NZ - I had the great joy to lead out our sprinter Justin van Tulder who won a criterion on the last day and we ended up with the Minister for Sport the Honorable Trevor Mallard make the closing remarks for the tour in our Healthcare NZ Spinal Trust team kit!! A huge thanks to those of you who donated to the "All Singing No Dancing Cycling CEO" page - I have $1000 to hit my target and there is still time to make a donation - please do do.

  • South Island stage completed

    What an amazing first half of the tour we have had - so many highlights - incredible weather and 32 very generous donors contributing to spinal cord injury support to the tune of $3,800+. I am still looking to reach my goal of $5,000. I would love it if you encourage your friends to make a donation to our important work. It does not need to be 'Game Over' if you break you neck or back.

  • Stage 1 Done

    Awesome first day. Jonathan Nelson led us out in the team time trial. We all rode well and Mike and I powerfully presented NZ Spinal Trust at the prize giving. “If you broke your neck do you think it would be game over” Mike Brown is a brilliant ‘Director Sportif’ ensuring all arrangements are in place. Arrowtown-Wanaka via Crown Range tomorrow. Time for bed.

  • Race Day # 1

    Race day #1. I arrive at the start of this epic fundraising effort for @nzspinaltrust in good shape. Racing weight 77kgs (lost 5kgs in training although 1kg was probably hair from my legs left on the ground at Burwood Hospital.) I am lean and strong and ready. Our team time trial from the magnificent Glenorchy will set of in 2deg VERY COLD but our hearts we warmed by our great cause. Please Be sure to donate. Tx.

    Drive day to the start line. Mike, Olivier and Hans will meet Jono in Omarama the hook up with the rest of our team at registration in Frankton. We are all very excited and grateful for the suppprt so far. May today Be the only day our bikes get wet (cold and raining in Chch as we leave)
