The Pavlova Rova, Mongol Rally team 2019

We are team Pavlova Rova. Three young lads from the land of the long white cloud who are one of the few New Zealand teams competing in the rally of a lifetime, otherwise known as the Mongol Rally. This is an intrepid journey not for the faint hearted, involving 10,000 miles of blood boiling, adrenaline fuelled pure fucking adventure. From the launch pad in Prague, we well charge through South-east Europe, to the road less travelled through the Middle East, across vast expanses of desert to the mountains of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, up through northern China and Mongolia to Ulan Ude, Russia.

Conditions for taking part in the rally include operating a vehicle of less than 1.2 litres with no help from the organisation throughout the whole voyage. We are also required to raise at least £1000 ($2000 NZD) for charity, however we are hoping to raise much more than that! Half of the funds raised will be donated to the Mongol Rally charity of choice, Cool Earth. This is a non-profit organisation which works alongside rainforest communities to fight against deforestation and the impact it has on climate change click here to learn more. The other half of the charity will be donated to a charity of our choice. As a team we have decided to work alongside the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand to support people in all parts of society suffering from mental illnesses. We believe in the people of New Zealand and hope that many people find the time to make a donation this cause.
