The unstoppable Mighty Miles

This is Miles, he is 5 years old and he has never cut his hair before.

Miles is the smartest, funniest, most adorable and loving 5 year old you can ever hope to meet.

However, Miles was born with a congenital heart defect that without the lifesaving help of the amazing medical and surgical teams and the world class facilities at Starship hospital, Miles wouldn’t be here alive today.

Not only was Miles expertly cared for from the second we found out about the diagnosis by the Auckland Starship Hospital teams and homecare nurses that visited us weekly; but our whole family was picked up and supported in any way we needed with the amazing charity Heartkids.

It is because of the superb care that we have received in New Zealand that Miles and us as a family want to give back.

So, Miles has decided to finally cut his hair for the first time, and we would love it if you could help him fundraise for Starship Hospital and Heartkids.

His beautiful locks will also be donated to Freedom Wigs (www.freedomwigs.com).

Any amount would be so very appreciated. We’ve decided that the date of the big chop will be the 30th of May so we have just over 1 month to raise as much as we can.

Finally, speaking as Miles’ mama, no amount of money will ever be able to repay the gift that we were given when our beautiful Miles was saved, but we’d really like to be able to say thank you with your help.
