Too many people are a part of the statistic - let's support sexual violence survivors, and educate to end it
Otago
Wanna see an end to sexual violence and watch me take a few punches to the head at the same time? SAME.
Ya girl is super stoked (and slightly terrified) to announce that I have been picked to participate in the OUSA Charity Fight Night, and I will be throwing hands with ma new friend Tess Gillies on the Friday of Re-O week!
Your task is simple - click the donate button and show some love to my charity of choice. I’m going to be supporting Thursdays in Black Otago, who are working hard to prevent sexual violence, and support survivors.
Approximately 186,000 ADULTS suffer from serious sexual violence in New Zealand every year, but only about 7% of those are reported. Investigations into university cultures around sex and consent have illustrated that we have some work to do. These statistics hit close to home than you think, and you are more than likely to know someone affected. SO, help me to help the pros offer support to survivors, and education to everyone by clicking on that link above, and donating today's coffee money (or more 🤷🏻♀️).
Also - big ups to my flat's power company Energy Online for sponsoring me and contributing hugely to the cause!! Couldn't believe how generous they have been. Wanna know what makes it better? If I win the fight, the flat gets a whole MONTH of free power, so watch out Tess 😏
