Jake is observing Dry July (going alcohol-free for the month of July) to raise funds for Leukemia care, in honor of a beloved family member.
Otago
Jake - whose last name literally means "a habitual drinker" and whose 1st love in life and everyday work involves wine - will be giving up all alcohol for the month of July in order to raise funds for Leukemia and hospice care, in honor of a beloved family member.
We greatly appreciate any donation you can offer. If we reach our donation goal, Jake will be performing a bit of Kiwi flair on video - pruning grape vines in nothing but his gum boots and briefs in the middle of southern hemisphere winter!
All donations will benefit the Nurse Maude Hospice, a non-profit organisation which has been an invaluable resource for home-based care for the family during this difficult time.
I'm Jake's partner, helping out with this campaign.
10 Days Dry! 11 July 2017
A (non-alcoholic) cheers to 10 days dry and almost 20% to our fundraising goal!
Thank you so much for your support!
Jake is going strong but we could use some help spreading the word to reach our $1K goal for Nurse Maude. If you're on Facebook, we'd be grateful if you can consider giving some social media love to the posts (likes, comments, shares - please share the Give A Little link rather than the original post).
$1,000 not only means helping other families in need but also holds the promise of a video of Jake pruning grape vines in nothing but his gumboots and briefs in the middle of winter (brrrr in the name of a good cause!). With your help, we can get there!
Lots of love from us.
