Riding the length of the North Island to raise funds and awareness for Unicorn Foundation NZ
Nationwide
This week I am embarking on another challenging charity bike ride. Over 4 days, I will be cycling the North Island with a group, averaging 100km per day. I join from Raglan to Wellington. In doing so, I hope to raise funds and awareness for Unicorn Foundation NZ. This is a just a small charity established to help the thousands of patients and families affected by Neuroendocrine Cancer. You may not have heard of this cancer which is why we are trying to help and we hope to improve their lives by fundraising enough money to bring a much needed specialised NET scan to NZ. Currently the only way these patients receive this scan which determines if they can receive further treatment is by travelling to Melbourne all self funded - there is no government funding to assist them. With your support, we can change this and every dollar will make a huge difference for these cancer patients.
The Tour of NZ Unicorn team is cycling the entire length of the island (over 660 kms!) to raise funds and awareness for Unicorn FoundationNZ
