Neuroendocrine Cancer New Zealand

Neuroendocrine Cancer New Zealand

Neuroendocrine Cancer NZ is a registered charity established to support and advocate for patients with Neuroendocrine Cancer, (NET Cancer).

Auckland

Neuroendocrine Cancer NZ (formerly Unicorn Foundation NZ) aims to provide support and accurate information to patients, families and medical professionals involved in NET cancer. We support clinical research and we are lobbying for funding and further treatment options to become available to NZ patients.

Neuroendocrine Cancer NZ brings patients together either in person or online by building a community to ensure patients no longer feel isolated with their diagnosis. Neuroendocrine Cancer NZ has also contributed and influenced clinical research projects and continues to have an on-going dialogue with the medical professionals who are at the forefront of treating NET's.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koe  1 May 2023

The Tour of New Zealand Team Unicorn fundraising page has just closed.

We may not have got around to responding to everyone's messages of support and donations, but we just wanted to express our sincere thanks again for making this so successful for our riders/fundraisers and NET cancer community.

Please follow us on Facebook and our website for more updates on how we are using the funds raised.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koe xx

This donation is made on behalf of matua Pete Gardner, who will be retiring from his role as Kaipāhekoheko, Kaiarawhiti, Mahi Haumaru, Aotearoa tomorrow. Pete has asked that koha received as part of his leaving gift is donated to a charity supporting cancer patients, whānau, research and doctors. After speaking with Pete, it was decided he would like his koha to go to support Unicorns of Aotearoa. Why? Pete has been present in the life of two Unicorns - both from our mahi whānau for many years. He has observed first hand the impact of NETS with people he loves and care for and in his big big heart, I know he wishes more than anything that a cure is found. In the absence of the cure, support of research, care and support is paramount. To all Unicorns, those that have gone before us, those fighting the fight, and all those who care and love xx
