Help me support the Malcam Charitable Trust in Toss the Boss 2019 by sponsoring me to abseil the Forsyth Barr Stadium
Otago
Born and bred in Dunedin, Gerard has worked as an insurance adviser for over 20 years through Gerard Finnie Financial Services and now combines that with mortgage advice through First mortgages NZ. He has recently added Kiwisaver advice to complete the picture. He enjoys being able to help people protect themselves and their families financially, assist them in purchasing a home and save so they can enjoy a comfortable retirement.
Cricket plays a major part in Gerard’s life as he has been the “boss” or better known as Chairman of Dunedin Junior Cricket for the last 12 years, also serving on the Dunedin senior committee for that period, along with coaching junior club and representative sides, watching his son Josh play for the Volts, and continuing to play twilight on a Monday evening, 2nd grade on a Saturday and being victorious for the South Island over 50’s team over the North Island in 2 games in March.
Outside of cricket, Gerard also plays touch, masters football, tries to find time to spend with his wife Sonya, and enjoys visiting their daughter Mahalia on the Gold Coast.
Having spent many hours coaching young sportspeople and helping develop their skills and mindsets to grow and compete, Gerard is looking forward to challenging himself with a new activity and raising funds for a great cause helping develop our youth.
Help Gerard reach his target and beyond. Donate below!
On the morning of the 17th May I'll be abseiling from the roof of Forsyth Barr Stadium 35 metres to the pitch below, fundraising for the Malcam Charitable Trust. All funds raised will go towards providing the youth of Otago experiences that enable them to discover who they are, and where they fit in.
Support our brave bosses as they put it on the line to raise funds for The Malcam Charitable Trust!
