The crew today did some fartlek (speed play) on the trails. 800m warm up then 3-5km (dependant on ability) on the trails with efforts (6x2mins)
Then relays 200m
A collective total of approx 125km
Bringing us to $244…
We will throw in some kms on the weekend to bring us closer to our current donation level of $500!!
Today at training we had 19 Trailblazers - most of the crew ran 6.5km, 3 beginners ran 4.5km… that gives us … $117.50! Plus coaches… 30.5km… $147.50 - I was so proud of the crew this is their biggest training run yet with a lot of elevation. They did so well. Never taking offers to rest of cut short. Super proud and thank you to our generous sponsors for providing some extra motivation for us to help the speed Freaks.
WOW as of Monday 9th August, $340 raised for the Speed Freaks.... we will translate that into EFFORT at our training tomorrow. We will tackle HALF of that so $170....
The plan is looking like:
5.5km for the advanced runners
3.5km for the beginners
- goal total 90km...for $90
that leaves 80 to go - we will do a circuit of 80 exercises each (20 sit ups, 20 star jumps, 20 burpees and 20 high knees - with some 100metres jogs in between to make up any shortfall).
