Trailblazers Paying it Forward

$630 of $1,000 goal
Given by 13 generous donors in 10 weeks

Help us support others who have not had an opportunity like us, the Trailblazers. Lets enable others to benefit from the magic of running.

The Trailblazers (Porirua Kids Run Club) are fundraising for the Speed Freaks 'Running for Recovery'

“ Our Kaupapa. To increase health, wellbeing and connection. Supporting recovery from addiction through the vehicle of running.”

We at Trailblazers understand just how beneficial the sport of running can be. We have reaped the benefits of increased confidence, better health, improved tolerance to stress (increased resilience) and forming pro social friendships. We aim to fund raise so that we can support others who may not have had an opportunity like we have, in their youth, to join a group like the Trailblazers. We want to enable others to benefit from the magic of running - because it is never too late.

Please donate to this page - we will track all donations and at each of our twice weekly training sessions. We will do extra kilometres, extra intervals and extra star jumps for ALL donations - record and post on here as well as on our facebook page and instragram page

Please help us to learn the gift of giving. We follow the youth development model of the circle of courage - belonging, independence, mastery and GENEROSITY. Please help us complete the circle - these are the foundations for psychological resilience and positive youth development.

We will conclude the fundraiser with our mini ultra on the 25th September in Porirua (please come along if you can) and for coach Constable Jo Ryder at the Crater Rim Ultra on 17th October.

We are training very hard over the next 7 weeks to give it our best to the Speed Freaks and all our wonderful generous sponsors.

Please get in contact if you would like to support in person either on our big day or at our training sessions.

Stay tuned for our adventure toward the mini Crater Rim Ultra @ Bothamley Park, Porirua, and Coach Jo's journey toward the actual Crater Rim Ultra in Christchurch.

Thank you so much for donating! We will dedicate a set of burpees for you after the parkrun tomorrow... hopefully I can convince the kids to do them. They may be a little too shy in which case we will throw them in on Tuesday.
