Tuk Tuk Boom - Rickshaw Run April 2017

$1,820 donated
Given by 28 generous donors in 8 weeks

A 3,000km Indian adventure in a 7 horsepower glorified lawnmower. The Rickshaw Run is easily the least sensible thing to do with two weeks.

Wellington

In a moment of genius, daringness or pure insanity we have decided to drive a decorated Tuktuk the length of India.

The Machine:

Engine: 2 stroke, single cylinder, forced air cooled

Power: 7 HP at 5000 rpm (equiv. 1 family dog)

Transmission: 4 forward, 1 reverse

Fuel Capacity: 8 ltr + 1.4 reserve

Top Speed: 55kmph (downhill)

Engine Size: 145.45cc

System Voltage: 12V , DC

Whilst a key part of our adventure will involve learning the mechanics of a lawnmower, and seeking to solve the age old question 'can you ever have too much duct tape?'

All donations will be split evenly between Ronald McDonald House and Coolearth.

We deeply appreciate all donations (100% of which go to charity) , but for those of you that think driving a glorified lawn mower the length of India doesn't sound too extreme and need MORE motivation to donate, we also have a list of challenges we will complete in return for your donation.
