    Well I'm finished. I made it under my own steam to Milford Sound. What an adventure. 16 days of weather, wind and climbs. I've been placed I will probably never visit again. Such beauty in this small country. Congratulations to all my fellow riders - heroes and friends. Thank you again for your donations. It means a lot to me to be able to give something back to the team that rescued me just over a year ago. Thank you , thank you, David

    2 weeks down and three weeks to go. As the guy at the briefing said - it will be an adventure of topographical highs and emotional lows! He forgot scenery and friendship and laughs. Tomorrow I arrive at Te Anau and then two more nights to Milford.

    Less than a week to go and I'm stoked to be setting out with a growing bottle cage of cash for the Lakes District Air Rescue Trust. Training is really ramping up here and Ritchey Red has been seen taking a bit of time out at the Taylor Swift Sydney circus!

    Thank you to all the people who have supported this fundraiser. You are all so generous and its been very motivating for me. I didn't set a target for this fundraiser because I really wasn't sure whether people would step up but as they used to say during telethon, Kiwis (and Aussies) are the most generous people in the world! I'm getting a few 'training' bike rides in and here's my trusty 'Ritchey Red' enjoying the views of Sydney harbour last weekend.
