University of Otago Students raising funds for Special Olympics through participating in the Dunedin Marathon.

Dunedin, Otago

Hi, We are a group of 5 university students for Otago University, who are all taking part in the Dunedin Marathon in some form of event to raise money for Special Olympics. Each of us study Sport Science, so sport is very much a passion of ours, and we love to see everyone out there getting involved in sport in some shape or form. Special Olympics is an incredible organisation that works long and hard to get people of all ages with an intellectual disability into some form of sport, this then helps them transfer out into society and be a leader in the community. By donating and raising money, we might be able to get one more person involved with special Olympics which is pretty life changing, Special Olympics is more than just an organisation, it is a family, and we want to be able to help in any form that we can to ensure that the family can stay together.
