Hi, Elliot Jones here. I’m in my final year at school, and I’d like you to join me in uplifting the way dyslexia is perceived in New Zealand and educating people on its strengths.

I’ve created a homegrown documentary called ‘Unlocking Potential’ where I will present my interviews with inspiring New Zealanders from around the globe to refresh and widen your perspective on dyslexia.

I intend my documentary to provide a more thriving narrative around the contribution of dyslexia to the future of NZ, one where the cloak of shame & silence is unmuted and replaced with positive and inspiring conversations that focus on the strengths of dyslexic thinking.

Be inspired about the future and see how dyslexic thinking can take you places you may never have imagined.

My goal is to raise $50,000 to help the Dyslexia Foundation of NZ continue working on changing the beliefs about dyslexia across New Zealand. I am using multiple platforms to raise this money and my progress will be reported on the Dyslexia Foundation of NZ Facebook page at regular intervals.

My ‘Unlocking Potential’ documentary will premiere live on 27 July in Whanganui. Tickets are available on Eventbrite and the link to view the documentary online will be available shortly after on the Dyslexia Foundation of NZ Facebook page.
