Dyslexia Foundation of New Zealand

Dyslexia Foundation of New Zealand

Our mission is to increase the awareness, recognition, understanding and acceptance of dyslexia as an alternative way of thinking.

Nationwide

DFNZ is a registered Charitable Trust, founded in 2006 to facilitate recognition, understanding and action for those with dyslexia. Its mission is to empower people to navigate the challenges and opportunities that dyslexia brings.

And through its world-first chat model dyslexia resource – the Knowledge Hub – it makes information and support more accessible than ever.

This AI-powered hub brings together nearly two decades of DFNZ advocacy, research, and lived experience into one easy-to-use, 24/7 digital companion. Aligned with DFNZ’s philosophy and values, it provides simple, easy to access guidance on recognising, understanding and addressing dyslexia – in the home, classroom and workplace. Including curated links, real stories from Kiwi dyslexics, and advice on how to evaluate services.
