Auckland
Meet Henry Molaison, or, as some may know him better, Patient HM – “the man who taught the world so much without ever knowing it”.
In 1953, Henry underwent an experimental brain surgery, hoping to cure the epilepsy that impacted his young life. The operation, however, left Henry unable to form new memories making him the most famous patient in the history of brain science.
Winning a coveted Fringe First Award for Analogue Theatre Company in 2011, 2401 Objects creates an imagined life of Henry Molaison based on a number of important factual events, to include human connection to his story. Our Auckland production reaches deeper into Henry, portraying him beyond the subject of medical inquisition, bringing human connection to his story and sharing Henry’s perspective with the world.
Come hear his story, or what little is known about it.
