My Dear Friends, Colleagues and Supporters

I need all the help that I can get.

On behalf of the Partners, and because I am more courageous than they are, I will be participating in the ‘Drop Your Boss’ event on 8th June. Simply put, this involves jumping off the Sky Tower to near certain death. I am having nightmares about it already!

As much as I’m sure I will enjoy the event, our purpose for doing it is to raise funds for the Graeme Dingle Foundation. With the mission of transforming young lives forever, your donation will fund youth development programmes during some of the most vulnerable and formative periods of their lives.

As someone petrified by heights and fearful of flying, I’ve taken a natural affinity to the challenge. I do not need to be pushed. But some children do, and they need our encouragement and attention. They deserve your help.

Our target is $10,000 – let’s go out with a bang! Anything but a splat…

A key part in the success of the Graeme Dingle Foundation programme is based on challenging participants to change their perceptions of what they think they can achieve - which makes this a unique and novel fundraising event a great fit. I will certainly be challenged and out of my comfort zone, but knowing it will support New Zealand children and youth will make it worth it!
