Running for the National Foundation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing NZ
Nationwide
This September, my two amazing friends (both named Rachel!) and I will be taking on the 32km Race Tekapo. We're not just running for the challenge—we're running to raise money for a cause that means a lot to us: the National Foundation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NFDHH).
As many of you know, I wear hearing aids due to hearing loss, and I’m all too familiar with the challenges and isolation that can come with it. I often think about how much harder it must be for those who have lost their hearing entirely.
In New Zealand, around 880,000 people are affected by hearing loss. The NFDHH works to build a society where people who are Deaf or hard of hearing can thrive. Their mission is to break down barriers, advocate for accessibility, and ensure everyone has access to high-quality hearing healthcare.
If you’d like to support our run and this incredible cause, please consider donating through the link below.
We’re excited to hit the trail in September—and even more excited to do it for a purpose that matters. Thank you for your support!
