Hi, I’m Gus. I work at Wellington Free Ambulance and on 14th March, I will be running 10km as part of a team in the Sovereign Tri Series.
Wellington
All money raised will go towards the vital equipment carried on Wellington Free’s ambulances!
My goal is to raise $1,000
All of our ambulances carry many pieces of essential equipment that we need to raise money to buy. For example, a special carry chair to lift people safely costs $1,385 and a Sagar splint costs $1,000.
Help me to help fund these important pieces of ‘kit’ so our paramedics can continue to provide the best possible medical care.
My team mates are two paramedics at Wellington Free Ambulance: Hannah Latta – Cyclist and Jeff Aukuso – Swimmer
I have worked at Wellington Free Ambulance for 6 months now and have been looking for a way to contribute to the fundraising required by the organisation.
The Wellington Sovereign Triathlon is a great way to promote a healthy lifestyle and support Wellington Free Ambulance at the same time.
It’s about everyone doing what they can to help create that awareness about the ambulance service, and this is what fits for me. It’s a great cause to train and compete in a race for.
It’s also about encouraging others to push themselves and see what they can achieve.
