Women's Refuge - Belvedere Peak and Clarence River Adventure

Kia ora. I am heading into the top end of the Southern Alps on a 7-8 day biking, climbing and rafting adventure and want to do some good with the pain I will be going through, to help raise funds for Women's Refuge.

Women's Refuge do an amazing job of helping some of the most vulnerable people in our community at a time of real need, and at this time of year, there is a huge demand for their services and the support they provide. Huge respect for the organisation and its people.

The trip starts with a 2 day ride south down the Rainbow Valley, then we ditch the bikes and climb the Belvedere Peak (subject to weather - quite an amazing geographical feature as it is the top of 3 great river systems, the mighty Buller, Wairau and Clarence Rivers), then back on the bikes and a transition to 3 days of rafting on the Clarence River, finishing with a fairly gruelling bike ride to get to the mouth of the Clarence River, just north of Kaikoura.
