Climbing Mount Maunganui 38 times, the equivalent in vertical metres to conquering Everest. In support of the MHFNZ
Bay of Plenty
Climbing Mount Maunganui 38 times is the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest in vertical metres. On the 29th of April I'll turn 27 (subtle hint for birthday presents), so to send 26 off with a bang, on the 28th of April, I plan on climbing Everest, in the Mount.
What I'm doing: 38 summits of Mauao in 24 hours in support of Mental Health Foundation of NZ.
What I'm inviting you to do: (Like how I worded that? ha) You can support this act of madness by doing a summit or two with me. I'll need the banter in a big way & I figure there might be a few of you over there, so maybe a summit and then brunch/lunch/dinner/midnight snack with whoever else is around - there's worse places in the world to make a day of it! I don't know if you heard, but I've got to do 38, so pretty flexible on times that suit you ;) Just call me to see where I'm at and we can meet at the bottom. It's a cool way to support a great cause, to spend some quality time and to get the blood pumping too. You in? K cool.
If you're down/around for any of the later-at-night summits, I can offer a place to sleep, first in first served basis, and marae style. Haha get in touch if you would like to stay and we can chat details.
Or if you can't be there, you can donate, either way you'll be so appreciated.
An incredible cause and a bloody daunting task. Like really scary. See you there. Love, S xx
Mental Health is an illness that affects 1 in 6 kiwis. The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand do an incredible job supporting, educating and caring for those affected, those at risk and those who have loved ones who need our help.
