Nationwide
During December 20 and January 21 I’m hiking 1600km of Te Araroa, from north to south of South Island. The route is fairly challenging in places, the Southern Alps being rather hilly with plenty of river crossings.
I’m raising money for Women’s Refuge New Zealand, a charity whose help I never thought I would need. Until I did. They gave me simple yet super practical help, were non-judgemental and entirely lovely to deal with.
After a particularly tough year I’m only asking you to give if you can. I’m away for the whole of the festive season, so you might consider a donation in lieu of a Christmas card, gift or celebratory drinks out.
If you are experiencing family violence, call 0800 REFUGE or 0800 733 843 for advice and support, as well as help in a crisis.
Women’s Refuge New Zealand supported me as aI left an abusive marriage.
Thank you so much!!
