We are breeding a small number adult paua in our laboratory at Kaitaia College, to spawn and grow thousands of juvenile Paua, to then release around the reef at Shipwreck bay, Ahipara, Tauroa Point.

We need to build our outdoor growing tanks so have come here to get a little help with funds.

We have formed a formal partnership between Kaitaia College and Te Rarawa Iwi.

We have kept adult Paua alive for 4 months in tanks in our laboratory at Kaitaia College.

We have successfully spawned Paua and know how to do this "on demand"

Dion Hobson has done a spectacular job in putting together historical footage and what has happened this year to start breeding Paua ourselves and to reseed the reef at Ahipara Tauroa Point.
