Atawhai/Kindness: The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.

We aim to help build healthy, happy, resilient young people and strengthen families through volunteering in the local community and educating young people about the power of being kind.

We are based in Cambridge and Auckland.

In the 3 years AOK has been operating we have clocked up over 1000 volunteer hours, made over 50 Rest Home visits, planted 1200 trees along our local cycleways, spent many mornings outdoors taking care of local green spaces, collected over 170 filled toiletry bags for foster children, 50 cleaning kits for local families needing extra support, and made hundreds of Christmas Cards for elderly, children and families in Waikato Hospital.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
