Otago
How do you see the future for our seniors here in Otago?
Age Concern Otago needs your help to make sure it is a positive one!
At Age Concern Otago we operate in an environment of increasing demand as our population ages and new challenges and opportunities present themselves.
We were founded here in Otago 75 years ago as people realized not all gold was up in the fields and our real treasure is here amongst us - sometimes though in very vulnerable situations.
For our important work in our community, we rely on donations and grants to enable us to provide information, services, support and programs to 10,000+ of our seniors each year.
(To view our services and work, check out our web page at https://ageconcernotago.com or our Facebook page - https://facebook.com/ageconcernotago
We do receive a small amount of funds from the Government; however, we rely primarily on the generosity of our caring community who support our work along with the efforts of 986 plus Volunteers with hearts of gold!
We would welcome your support to help us to continue our work- your support and donation is welcomed and truly appreciated- Thank you!
Have you ever considered including Age Concern Otago in your will?
This is a very special way to leave your own personal and lasting legacy- growing a supportive, inclusive and safe society for our future generations.
Age Concern Otago began as a community based organization founded in 1948 by the then Mayor of Dunedin and a number of public spirited people to promote the wellbeing and to serve the needs of our older folk here in Otago.
Today, Age Concern Otago has grown into a substantial independent charitable organization, valued and respected for its dedication and services to our senior citizens. Age Concern Otago now has the wider purpose of promoting healthy, active and positive ageing for those over 65. Age Concern Otago is recognized locally as a principal not for profit community organization celebrating and advancing the wellbeing of Otago’s senior citizens.
