Alzheimers Taranaki Inc is a registered charity dedicated to supporting people affected by all types of dementia throughout Taranaki.

We offer a range of support services to people affected by all types of dementia in the Taranaki region.

Our Community Advisors provide support and advice/education and advocacy for those diagnosed with dementia and their caregivers/families and whanāu, ensuring they get the relevant knowledge and services they require. We also run monthly support groups and social groups region wide. Along with that, Alzheimers Taranaki provide regular education sessions and training in the community and to organisations and businesses, to improve awareness and work towards our aim of a dementia friendly Taranaki. In New Plymouth and Hāwera we also offer day programmes for people with dementia, giving them an enjoyable and stimulating day out, whilst their carers have a deserved break.

Our services enable people to live well with Dementia.

Thank you once again to all who have donated so far.

We now have a wonderful purpose built, dementia-friendly building in NP and have recently renovated our Hāwera Day Programme space.

Any additional funds now raised will continue support our ongoing services for people affected by dementia throughout Taranaki.
