Alzheimers Taranaki Inc is a registered charity dedicated to supporting people affected by all types of dementia throughout Taranaki.

We offer a range of support services to people affected by all types of dementia in the Taranaki region.
Our Community Advisors provide support and advice/education and advocacy for those diagnosed with dementia and their caregivers/families and whanau, ensuring they get the relevant knowledge and services they require. We also run monthly support groups and social groups region wide. Along with that, Alzheimers Taranaki provide regular education sessions and training in the community and to organisations and businesses, to improve awareness and work towards our aim of a dementia friendly Taranaki. In New Plymouth and Hawera we also offer day programmes for people with dementia, giving them an enjoyable and stimulating day out, whilst their carers have a deserved break.
Our services enable people to live well with Dementia.
Our ultimate aim is to raise sufficient funds so that we can acquire our own premises, believing that a dementia centre would be of immeasurable benefit to Taranaki.

All donations go towards running our services for people affected by dementia in Taranaki. We are the only service in the province providing support and advice for those affected by dementia and although we are partially funded, we do rely on the generosity of donors to be able to provide all the services we do. So thank you for whatever you can spare, it will be put to good use.
