Every dollar you raise helps us provide vital support, resources, advocacy and research for the 850,000 people in Aotearoa living with arthritis. Arthritis NZ offers practical support through Arthritis Assist, provides education programmes and resources, advocates and funds research to improve healthcare systems and outcomes for people with arthritis.

More about us

We improve the lives of people affected by arthritis (including lupus, gout, and fibromyalgia) through providing support that helps people with arthritis navigate the health system and live well with arthritis. We also provide resources and education to caregivers, whānau, and healthcare professionals to help people with arthritis.

Our advocacy work and the research we fund both aim to improve healthcare systems and get better outcomes for people with arthritis - young and old!

Arthritis is one of the leading causes of disability in New Zealand, with more than 750,000 people living with arthritis, including children and young adults.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
