Aspire Canterbury

Aspire Canterbury

We are a disability information and resource centre delivering essential services and solutions to people with mobility issues in Canterbury

Canterbury

Aspire Canterbury is a not-for-profit community-focused organisation committed to meeting the needs of older persons and disabled persons with mobility issues. Our aim is to assist people in making informed decisions about accessing services or choosing products that will assist them in their daily lives.

Aspire Canterbury have now taken their services on the road . Aspire Mobile gives disabled people, and those with mobility issues, easier access to services and introduces them to new products which can make their lives more enjoyable providing them with a sense of inclusion in the wider community.

Aspire mobile goes directly to organisations with a fun, interactive presentation of information services and easier living equipment. We visit retirement villages/homes, health centres, community groups and any other organisations wanting an entertaining and informative presentation.

Please help us to continue this essential service.

More about us

Aspire Mobile – Connecting with the community

Our mobile service, launched in April 2015, is our response to the need to reconnect and give disabled and older people (and those who support them) easier access to services and introduce them to products for easier living which they may not know exist, to make their lives more enjoyable and provide them with a sense of inclusion in the wider Canterbury area.

Our van is a free service to the community (apart from equipment sales) and enables us to reach a greater number of individuals, organisations and community groups at times and in locations that are convenient for them. We will be operating in Christchurch and rurally within Canterbury.

Our service delivers fun, interactive presentations to groups in need eg retirement villages, disabilty groups, Probus, Rotary etc

Aspire Canterbury is a not-for-profit registered charity, so all the proceeds from any equipment sales go straight back into providing services for disabled and elderly people.
