Otago
We aim to provide the Alpine community of the Southern Lakes Region with a primary response avalanche search dog service, able to be rapidly deployed 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and 252 days of the year, well into the future.
Our primary goal is to save lives. We believe that this goal will be realized in time. Whether it is through our educational program or by one of our teams on site we are proud to have this opportunity to be of service as we start our journey towards being world leaders in our field.
To whom it may concern, It has come to my attention via the amazing folks at SkippersMate (Peter and Di) that you made a very generous donation to Aspiring Avalanche Dogs via the SkippersMate Givealittle page. The delay in my response is in no way a reflection of our gratitude…on behalf of the Aspiring Avalanche Dogs team.. Thank you! As a non-profit organisation we rely on the generosity of others, some have had first hand encounters with the white dragon, others are alpine recreationalists who appreciate having us on standby year round while others simply love dogs and/or have a desire to be a positive influence through generosity. I'm not sure where you fit into this spectrum? If you and your family are into sliding on snow or simple love amazing views we would love to show our gratitude with an avalanche dog experience at our home mountain of Treble Cone.. If you are ever across this side of the ditch during the winter months of course! Thank you once again for providing the proverbial fuel that keeps us driving forward:-) Matt Gunn - AAD
