We are seeking your generous support to help our people in Fiji with basic food items and other essentials.

This group started when a few of us (from Fiji) working in different areas of a Govt organization in NZ decided to take up a collection at work for KidsCanNZ during our Fiji Language Week celebrations in Oct, 2019.

We than organised a Samoa Measles Appeal, lunch pack as well as a 'bake sale' fundraiser in Dec. 2019, and with the support of our workmates and friends raised and transferred over NZD $1,000 to Samoa Red Cross.

We have continued with our fundraising efforts and assisting our people in Fiji as well as New Zealand. Late last year we registered a charity and have carried on with our fundraising in an effort to assist our people in Fiji with food packs as well as stationery for our young students post Cyclone Yasa.

The funds raised from one of our social/fundraiser was our to good use, providing baby essentials to young mother's and food packs to the unemployed in Fiji who are in great need of assistance. Our focus is purchasing "washable diapers" which will save $$ in the long run and is also great for the environment as opposed to disposable diapers.

We have been inundated with requests from women all around Viti Levu and a couple of mother's from Lomaiviti. With the help of family and friends in Fiji and overseas, we have so far been able to assist around 50 mothers and counting.

We had another lunch pack sale/fundraiser at work recently and the funds raised is being used to provide basic food packs to our people in Fiji. We are continuing to receive requests from people we have never met but are in desperate need of assistance.

Most of us would be well aware that the situation in Fiji is is getting worse each day. Any assistance is greatly appreciated and we seek your support to enable us to continue helping our people in Fiji.
