AECC undertaking four signifianct projects to best support our whanau and tamariki. We need your help to make it a reality!

Avonside Early Childhood Centre (AECC) has been supporting tamariki and whānau in East Christchurch since the 1940's. We are a not-for-profit community Centre and have always aimed for an enriching and supportive environment that is also accessible and affordable to the people who need it. Our fees are $4 an hour for children over 2 years and $5 for children under 2 years.
We have these projects we need to undertake at our community based Centre.
1. We finally managed to source funding for our threadbare carpet but the installation was delayed as we needed to carry out temporary building repairs to prevent water coming in through the weatherboards due to the heavy rain. We now need to replace weatherboards, paint and make the building watertight and prevent the new carpet getting wet. We have been quoted $2500 for the cost of this project
2. Sunsmart - We are in need of 35 buckets hats for our wonderful tamariki so they are protected from the sun while playing and enjoying the outdoors. $280

Avonside Early Childhood Centre is a small, not-for-profit community center based in the Eastern Suburbs of Ōtautahi. We provide high quality, affordable and personalised education for children 6 months - 6 years, in a mixed age setting.
