The Big Brothers Big Sisters model of mentoring has been affirmed by rigorous, ongoing external evaluation. This independent research has shown the positive relationships between youth and their Big Brothers and Big Sisters have a direct and measurable impact on children’s lives.

With a proven track record of over 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters is the world’s largest mentoring programme helping over 280,000 children around the world reach their potential through professionally supported mentoring relationships.

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Study in Canada has found some impressive results showing that boys with a mentor on our programme are less likely to exhibit a whole range of negative behaviours.
