Organisation details

Big Brothers Big Sisters – Tuakana/Teina is a charitable trust committed to building healthy futures for Rotorua's young people through one-to-one mentoring friendships with caring adult role models.

In October 2014 the Big Brothers Big Sisters service arrived in Rotorua with a programme especially designed to support the diversity of Rotorua's community. The programme matches children aged 7 to 12 years with mentors in a professionally and culturally supported one-to one relationship.

Each young person is matched with a mentor who has similar interests or hobbies and they meet on a weekly basis.
