Brain Injury Association Wellington

Brain Injury Association Wellington

A brain injury creates huge challenges. Not just for the individual but also for families, whanau and communities.

Wellington

We are here to walk alongside people who experience a brain injury.

Any help you can give, will help us to make a difference to lives impacted by a brain injury.

Our work is to advocate, educate and support for better outcomes and understanding of a brain injury.

We work with individuals, families, whanau, carers, health professionals, rehab specialists and government agencies to achieve our goals.

The needs can be huge and the gaps large.

Your support makes a huge difference.

We're a registered charity and have been working in the Wellington region for 27 years.

A player in our football team (Tawa Vets) was involved in a nasty head collision that resulted in a Grade 3 concussion. He was unconscious on the ground having a fit and bleeding from the impact site. First responders (fellow players) provided initial first aid until the emergency specialists arrived. Luckily a CT scan showed that everything was okay, and the player will make a full recovery. We understand that other people may not be so fortunate so here is a donation of $150 from the Tawa Vets to support others who are going through head traumas.
