Birthright Hutt Valley

We believe the children of whanau led by one person share a 'birthright' with all of the children in New Zealand: the right to a good start in life, help in times of crisis, and an opportunity to reach their potential.

We at Birthright Hutt Valley aim to provide single caregiver whanau who are under stress or in need with the practical and emotional support that allows their children to thrive and reach their potential. This includes providing home-based social work support, parenting advice, information on available financial aid, resource assistance such as clothing for children and household items, as well as advocacy for WINZ and other child/family services.

We also provide children in the Hutt Valley area with access to experiences for life-skills development and opportunities for personal growth. We want for these children to grow up in a nurturing environment that will help facilitate their success and a brighter future.
