Support CanSurf Summer Camp, offering respite and fun for rangatahi/youth living with the effects of cancer.
Waihi Beach, Bay Of Plenty
During each camp we are humbled by the resilience and great attitudes of our Canteen guests, rangatahi/youth living with the effects of cancer. They come to connect with others living with the same challenges of cancer, and to challenge themselves in stepping outside their comfort zone by participating in surf lessons, yoga, interacting with others, fire engine drills and much more. Our community allows this camp to happen each year by incredible support by way of volunteer hours, baking, food, accommodation and more. We are a small town and it is often a strain on small businesses to offer services and products free of charge. In an ideal world we would love to support our community in return by being sustainable. We do ongoing fundraising and our small group of volunteers work hard to put this camp together. Support of any amount is very much appreciated!
CanSurf Summer Camp Waihi Beach is an annual weekend that provides respite for young people living with the effects of cancer. It is a time for them to connect with others, learn to surf, do yoga, and enjoy a break, in a safe and supported environment.
Thank you so much for your support. Being able to help the kids and their families enjoy a respite weekend away means the world to us. 😍
