ChangeMakers Refugee Forum

ChangeMakers Refugee Forum is a human rights organisation supporting refugee-background communities in New Zealand. We are a non-governm

Wellington

There are three main parts to our work:

- We run capacity building programmes for refugee communities

- We work with government and organisations to ensure that they effectively address the issues of refugee resettlement

- We research and advocate for the concerns of refugee communities

ChangeMakers began to take shape in 2001 when a group of former refugees started talking about how to get their concerns about resettlement in front decision-makers. They quickly realised the strength of working together and having a shared voice on issues of common concern. In 2003, ChangeMakers Refugee Forum was formed as an incorporated society.
