So we gave the Challenge and the girls took it on. Swim 22km. Raise some money for 3 worthy causes that really highlight the need for resilience in this world.

Not only did the girls nail the swim they have to this point raised more than $2000, yes that's right, over $2k. In no small way is that due to your generosity.

Here's Anna's thoughts on the swim:

Thank you so much to everyone who donated some money to our swim challenge. We have raised over $2000 which is way more than I was expecting. On the day I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed it. It made such a difference having all the supporters there. When we got tired it was good to remember why we were doing it. I learnt so much from this challenge like to never give up and always give things a go. Once again thank you so so so much. Anna Harrex

The page will close on Dec 31st.

Once again thank you for helping our young leaders discover just how far they can go and to take up the challenges they face in life with courage.

Started at 9am finished at 2:42pm.

    11 sets of 500m each, 5.5km

    and together 22km.

The Cook Strait Challenge completed and still with smiles on their faces (and perhaps maybe a little tired).

Many thanks to Tuapeka Aquatic Centre, Carla & Rod, all the parents and supporters who helped out on the day and those who have given donations so far. The page will not close for a while so feel free to still make a donation.

The girls have learned a bit about facing challenges, building resilience, and the good feeling inside when you achieve something bigger than you thought you might.

Well done Isla, Imogen, Paige and Anna.

  • 2 days to go

      14 December 2019

The girls did their last training today (Saturday) and there are 2 days to go before they hit the water and see just how far they can go.

Thanks to all those who have made donations so far - it is very encouraging for the girls to experience your support in this way.

The SKT girls have been training hard and are getting themselves prepared for the big day next week. On times so far we think it could take them anywhere from 7-9 hours. A massive day.

Thanks to everyone who has made a donation so far. Happy for you to like the page and fire it around to others to add to the total the girls are able to achieve for the three wonderful causes.

    Many thanks

    Anna, Isla, Paige, Imogen
