Help meet immediate needs, walk alongside people, and connect them with the support they need.
Food and essentials - Provide groceries, meals, clothing, toiletries, household items, and other urgent necessities.
Pastoral care - Offer a listening ear, encouragement, prayer, and compassionate support through difficult times.
Discipleship and mentoring - Walk alongside people as they grow in faith, confidence, relationships, and everyday life skills.
Practical support - Help with transport, appointments, forms, household tasks, and day-to-day challenges.
Referrals - Connect people with trusted local organisations, community services, and specialist support. Coro Angels has a strong connection with Recova, a local drug and alcohol support group. One Coro Angels trustee was a founding member when Recova began three and a half years ago. Through this relationship, Coro Angels is able to support people affected by addiction, including alcohol and methamphetamine, as they work toward recovery and stability.
Coro Angels is currently led by four trustees who bring local knowledge, practical experience, and a commitment to serving the community. Their backgrounds include social work, horticultural advice and mentoring, pharmacy and intern training, and software business leadership. Together, they provide a balanced base of experience to guide the work of Coro Angels.
