Devonport Community Creche Inc

The Crèche is owned by the Devonport Community Crèche Incorporated. The Devonport Community Crèche Incorporated is an incorporated society and a registered charity meaning that we are not-for-profit. 🌾

As a non-profit Community Early Childhood Education Centre, we reinvest all the funding we receive back into the Crèche. This allows us to employ only registered teachers and have the best staff/child ratios to meet the needs of our tamariki.🌾

Our creche is a celebration of community. Whānau and Kaiako work in partnership to ensure all our tamariki have the best start in life. Through kindness, caring and guidance we will support tamariki to grow and develop as valued members of our society.🌾

We value our community creche as a learning environment where responsive, reciprocal and respectful relationships between tamariki, kaiako and whānau are at the heart of our practice.🌾

Our well-resourced and engaging environment invites tamariki to be curious and creative explorers who develop their own ways of learning. Tamariki at creche are empowered to be confident, competent, capable learners, prioritising the reciprocal relationships they develop with one another as they grow their social competence. 🌾

We are governed by the Devonport Community Creche Inc Board. Members are nominated to the Board in accordance with the Rules of the Devonport Community Crèche Incorporated.
