The hard-working Theatre committee are dedicated to keeping movies screening in Opunake. This way we are delivering a service for the youth, families and elderly in our isolated community so they don't have to travel out of town for entertainment. During School holidays we have matinee screenings. The Theatre is used for Live Shows too.

Thanks to TSB Community Trust and South Taranaki District Council who have granted the money to allow us to purchase a digital projector, we can now concentrate on finishing the restoration of the Theatre.
