The Featherston Community Centre provides a well-loved space for services, events, activities and community development.

The Centre enhances the well-being of the entire community through offering a wide range of health & wellbeing, educational and social activities.

Recreational activities include senior cards and board games, music, arts and craft and senior meets.

Health and wellness include Yoga, Feldenkrais, Belly Dance, Meals on Wheels, and counselling and support services for both individuals and groups, including NA, AA, youth and Family Counselling.

Local art, culture and history features with the annual Featherston Art Sale, Maori Battalion projects.

The Centre provides meeting and office rooms for organisations, social services, community-led development, community groups and friends and family.

The Featherston Community Centre is owned by a trust on behalf of the people of Featherston and the South Wairarapa. Established in 1992, the Centre hosts activities and services from a wide range of providers that promote social cohesion and individual benefit.

Use of funds

Funds for the Centre are needed for ongoing operation and maintenance of the building and grounds as well as wages for our part-time manager.
