Food for work - a grass roots work creation programme
Christchurch, Canterbury
Our {food for work} programme
This programme (FFW) helps community people into meaningful work.
{how it works.}
Lisa is one of our success stories. She is a 47 year old Maori lady, who makes the best chocolate chippy biscuits you’ve ever eaten. Lisa was approached to make one paid batch of cookies, which she successfully did. From there Lisa has pushed her employment from there to making six batches a day, three days a week. Within a week of her first success Lisa was fully working. Lisa achieved that with help but she achieved it by her own desire.
{we want you}
Food for work is looking for the next person.
Maybe you are that person. What is something you are good at? Are you struggling to get started with work again, finding it difficult? How about grabbing a coffee with Jonny, sitting down and figuring out if we can help.
{how to help}
There are two major ways you can hep. Time and money. We are always looking out for people to join with us and money to help resource the work we do.
We also need donations - so we are asking people to give us a hand getting this programme to the next level. All donations appreciated.
Food For All exists to support local communitys to connect people and communities through nutrition, food affordability and work opportunities. We provide affordable vege packs, food parcels and run a work creation program.
