Franklin Family Support Services

Franklin Family Support has been working within our local community for 40 years. We provide a wrap-around service so individuals and families can access one or many of our services. The majority of our services are free for our community to access as we believe everyone should be able to reach out for help and guidance without finance being a barrier.

Our social work team walk alongside whanau and individuals using mana-enhancing practice and frameworks. We work within our three local high schools supporting at risk teenagers and their families. Our social workers will work with clients across a range of needs, though we also specialise in supporting those who have experienced family harm.

Our financial mentors help people plan for a more financially stable future, explore financial options and help work on reducing debt and hardship. They can work to set budgets, providing weekly or monthly check-ins and can advocate on behalf of clients with creditors and government departments.

Our counselling team works with children, teens, and adults of all ages to explore personal issues and work on strategies for positive mental health. Our professional team of counsellors is highly sought after and as a result it is our busiest service and our most under-funded. This year we will support close to 300 clients through our counselling service. All funds raised through donations will go towards our counselling department to continue providing free or low cost care.
