Serving our community 24/7 with rehabilitation, reintegration, education & restoration for disadvantaged people in South Auckland.
Auckland
We provide rehabilitation, integration and transitional housing for disadvantaged people in South Auckland, many who are coming out of prison, homeless and also families in need of a place to stay while they reestablish their lives. We provide a wraparound service including education, community involvement, health & well-being activities and support with government agencies.
Grace Foundation operates 18 houses with 24 hour assisted living care; 16 Men’s and 2 Woman’s homes. We currently have 49 Men and 5 Woman residing in the homes. These homes are supported by a dedicated team of 6 full-time staff and 4 Volunteers. Our team is experienced, passionate and go above and beyond to do all they can to help the people in our care.
Any money donated through the Give A Little page will go towards the essential operational costs of keeping these homes open, the rental costs, power, gas and phone-lines. Grace Foundation receives no government funding, any donation of time, household items or money is appreciated.
Our purpose at Grace Foundation is to help our residents rehabilitate and integrate back into our community by teaching them life-skills to create a better life and to help them with needs like housing, food, clothing and preparation for employment. Grace Foundation is strategically situated to be able to do this work in our community and has been doing it since 2007. Grace Foundation has helped thousands of people since it began.
Please donate and HELP US keep doing what needs to be done in South Auckland to help rebuild, restore and transform the nation.
Grace Foundation provides a hands-on approach assisting the residents with acquire basic living needs e.g., furniture and white-ware, food, clothing, power, phones, financial support and transport. Most of our incoming residents have lost everything so it’s very important that we are able to help them in a practical way.
We focus on creating a positive environment for our residents and a supportive wrap around service to foster a real and meaningful change in their lives. A strategic part of our service is the Soultionz classes which focuses on mindfulness that involves learning how to change negative attitudes, thought patterns, and adopting a positive, goal creation and planning; practical tools to help them implement and maintain major life changes.
The impact of our work can be seen in the changes within our resident’s lives, their families live, their children's lives. By transforming our resident’s mind-sets, through education, self-belief, self-confidence we create leaders who then go on to lead their families in a positive way which strengthens the community.
