The West Coast Theatre Trust is proud to launch 'Raise the Regent!', an exciting new initiative to save and revitalise our beloved Regent Theatre. For over 90 years, the Regent has been at the heart of Greymouth’s arts and culture scene—but today, it faces serious challenges.
Historic earthquake strengthening debt and ageing equipment are placing immense pressure on this iconic venue. To secure its future, we're calling on the support of our local community and beyond.
Your support is needed now more than ever! Together, we can preserve this grand venue and prepare it for its centenary celebration in 2035.

More about us
The Greymouth Regent Theatre is owned by the West Coast Theatre Trust Inc. It was built in 1935 & it was designed as a leading modern theatre of its time. Currently used for both live shows and a cinema. A Heritage NZ listed Art Deco styled building.
