Handmade Studio Charitable Trust

Handmade Studio Charitable Trust was established in 1983 and is dedicated to empowering and supporting individuals with disabilities.

We believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to lead a fulfilling life and our goal is to foster inclusiveness by providing various resources, programs, and initiatives tailored to meet the unique abilities of our clients.

By participating in group projects, our artisans not only develop valuable teamwork abilities but also forge meaningful connections and actively engage with their community. They acquire new skills that can be applied to different aspects of their lives. Moreover, this program equips clients with effective communication skills, enabling them to interact confidently with their peers and staff while fostering trust and stronger relationships. In addition, the program promotes community participation by showcasing the clients' work at different events and attracting new volunteers through speaking engagements. During these events, the clients proudly attend as models of the garments they've created, providing an opportunity for further interaction with attendees.

These skills not only help them in the program but are also transferrable to other areas of their lives. The sense of belonging that clients feel from being part of the program is immeasurable, and it gives them a reason to continue to flourish and grow. With two of the current program clients being with the Studio from the beginning.
